Soldering is not suitable for joining pipes. IMO soldering is not suitable for providing any form or structural rigidity on any project. I would only ever use solder for making electrical connections.

In the states they call it SODDER in UK solder. Its an accent thing! Everyone all over the world have different names for mostly everything. Take for example a vacum cleaner. Some people call it a hoover. lol
